Lawbringer Can't Catch a Break #forhonor #lawbringer #warden #ubisoft
I've spent countless hours in For Honor, and if there's one thing I consistently feel, it's that my Lawbringer just can't catch a break! It’s not just me; many players resonate with this sentiment. Whether I'm trying to hold a point or push into a contested zone, it often feels like I'm fighting an uphill battle against the entire enemy team. It's truly a unique kind of challenge that only Lawbringer mains seem to understand. One of the biggest frustrations comes in objective-based modes, especially Dominion. You try to DEFEND a CAPTURED zone, but with Lawbringer's often slow attacks and somewhat predictable move set, it's incredibly hard to fend off multiple attackers. It feels like you’re constantly being ganked, trying to manage opponents from all sides. Even if you manage to land a few hits, it’s rarely enough to turn the tide, especially when other heroes have faster recovery times or more aggressive chain finishers. I've been in so many situations where I'm trying desperately to STAY in captured zone for those crucial points, but the enemy just swarms me with unblockables and quick jabs, leaving me scrambling for a counter that feels perpetually out of reach. The struggle to hold your ground against a coordinated push can be incredibly demoralizing. Then there are moments when your team is pushing, and you need to KILL THEIR HEROES to break through their defenses. As a Lawbringer, while you have some strong parry punishers and decent heavy attacks, actually opening up aggressive, dodge-happy opponents can be a nightmare. It feels like every other hero has faster lights, unblockables, or dodges that make countering Lawbringer's limited offensive options a piece of cake. I've often found myself just trying to turtle, waiting for an opportunity that rarely comes, while my teammates are out there racking up +100 pts for actual combat contributions and kills. It's tough to feel like you're contributing meaningfully to the offensive push when your character's kit feels so geared towards a reactive, defensive playstyle that's often outmaneuvered in team fights. Even when the ENEMY TEAM IS BREAKING, and you think you might have a chance to turn the tide, Lawbringer's lack of mobility can be a real hindrance. Trying to chase down runners who are trying to regroup or quickly rotate to a new objective feels agonizingly slow. Other heroes can zip across the map, securing revives or denying zones, while I'm lumbering along, often arriving just as the opportunity slips away. This can be especially frustrating when you're trying to secure a victory and every second counts. And let's not even get started on being BOOSTED on a point. While it's great to get the extra score and contribute to the team's momentum, that increased visibility often makes you a prime target. Lawbringer's defensive capabilities sometimes just aren't enough to withstand focused pressure from a skilled opponent, let alone two or three. I've had matches where I felt like I was doing everything right – parrying, blocking, trying to get my impales off – but it just wasn't enough to hold the line. It's a common sentiment among players who main Lawbringer; we love the character, the imposing armor, the concept of a steadfast guardian, but the gameplay loop can be incredibly demoralizing when you feel constantly outmatched. We hope for some buffs or reworks to bring Lawbringer back into a more competitive and enjoyable state where we can truly feel like the 'Law' on the battlefield.
