Cast Away ?

Sooooo this is the wildest memory of 2023.

I spent some time in Costa Rica last August for a family trip. Full Disclosure I don’t book anything . I just pay and follow the itinerary. If you need a travel planner that is not me. I’m just showing up thank youuuuuuu.

Anyway back to the story. I seen Tortuga Island on the Itinerary and was excited because we stayed in the city and this was one day where we could actually be on the beach. That’s all I cared about. On vacation call me Ken because my job? Just Beach!

We were told by the travel agent that it was a 3 hour trip. Okay cool . 2hours on a bus then 1 hour on a boat. WHY WAS IT THE SMALLEST BOAT I EVER SEEN?! My heart dropped like how did this get pass me ? Did nobody check to see what vessel was taking us to our destination. I am an anxious mess most days but this took the cake. I mean I can swim but that’s beside the point . Try explaining that to my anxiety.

I said my prayers and got on the boat. It was actually pretty amazing despite the engine filling with water and us floating in the middle of the ocean🥴but the views were amazing and we even seen dolphins (which were way closer to our lil boat that I would have liked). We made it to and from Tortuga Island safely.

The hike. The beach. The views. The whole ordeal was worth it!
