Chronic kidney disease awareness

This is my older sister and I

In 2016 my Kidneys started to slowly decline

by October 2018 I found myself on dialysis..

my sister got tested and was my perfect match to donate one of her kidneys to me on Feb 12 2019 I was 25 when I received my kidney transplant my sister and I

We are 14 years apart

My kidneys ended up falling do to scar tissue forming over time since I’ve been a type one diabetic since I was four years old

This year is 6 years since our kidney transplant and we are here and healthy. I am 31 and she is 45 we named our kidneys George and weezie 💚 my sister made our whole outfit with our business BelleReneeLLC 💚 Cleveland

... Read moreChronic kidney disease (CKD) affects millions, making awareness essential for early intervention and management. Understanding its causes, such as diabetes and hypertension, can lead to proactive measures. Symptoms often remain unnoticed until advanced stages, highlighting the importance of regular checkups, especially for those at risk. In many cases, lifestyle changes, including improved diet, exercise, and medication adherence, can slow disease progression. Moreover, kidney transplantation is a viable option for end-stage renal disease, offering renewed hope for many patients. For donors, the impact of their generosity is life-changing, as seen in personal stories shared by countless recipients. Early detection can significantly enhance outcomes, making kidney health a priority in our wellness journey. Stay informed and support kidney disease awareness initiatives, advocating for those affected and promoting preventive practices in communities.
