We spent the day at Greenfield Village, where every building holds real stories from history — not replicas, but original pieces carefully preserved. One of the most moving parts was the Mattox Family Home, a symbol of Black resilience. Lined with newspaper for insulation, it was more than just a house — it was a testimony to survival, family, and strength in a time when so much was working against them.

It meant a lot that he thought to bring me somewhere like this. It wasn’t just a cute date — it was thoughtful. Educational. Grounding. It reminded me of where we come from, and made me appreciate where we’re going — together.

A soft serve break, sweet laughs, and being wrapped up in love… this day really had it all 🖤
