From Work and Travel Kids to H2B visa!

Hello, please share your experience of returning to work in America with an H2B visa from WAT 2023 Kids.

✅ Back to Thailand on time. Legal. No agency.

H2B is a temporary work visa in America, for jobs, non-agricultural, and lack of temporary labor, such as hotels, restaurants, resorts, theme parks, etc.

📍 employers must draw lots, which are held around January every year (so WAT children who graduate and want to return to America, hurry to say hello to their employers that we are interested in returning to work on h2b visas).

At this stage, the employer will be assigned letters between A-H. Our employer describes each letter as follows:

• A & B can accept anyone in, no visa required before

• C and D Partial will only accept those who have obtained a visa within the last 3 years.

• Some D to G will only get people who have already moved jobs in that country.

In this visa, we have to wait for documents from the employer to take the code to fill out DS 160 and arrange an interview.

📋 the papers we took on the day of the interview.

• Passport

• Visa receipt

• Photo

• Employment contract (from employer)

• Form I-797 (from employer)

There are really no statements because the employer is the sponsor. That's why this visa doesn't need an agency.

Interview questions. I can't remember, but not many.

❓ go? Do what? Who's the employer?

It's like going to WAT. It's probably easier because it's a direct work visa.

All we have to do is talk to the employer. The contract is done. And the next step is to be patient.

Our rough timeline

JAN Employer Knows Lottery Effect

MAR, the employer sends the I-797 form, then hurry to complete the DS160 and arrange an interview.

The contract is between April 1 and December 31.

After that, it can stay in America for another 10 days.

If anyone does not contact the original employer and find yourself on the general page, be careful of scammers. Because this visa, we do not need an agency, including the employer must take care of the travel expenses (airfare).

Hope it's helpful. I wonder where to comment. Thank you. 🥰
