Plus the eyes ended up looking different 😫

2024/12/10 Edited to

... Read moreOkay, girlies, let me spill the tea on my recent beauty adventure that turned into an epic #fail. You know how everyone raves about Desio Icy Blue contacts? I finally decided to dive in and try them for myself, hoping for that stunning, ethereal look. But what I got instead was a comedy of errors, and honestly, a bit of a nightmare! I was so excited when my Desio Icy Blue lenses arrived. I had visions of gorgeous, striking eyes, perfectly complementing a killer makeup look. But from the moment I started, it felt like the universe was conspiring against me. First off, I felt completely overstimulated just trying to get ready. You know those days where nothing goes right? This was one of them. The contacts are having trouble staying in your eye was an understatement. I swear, one minute it was in, the next it was trying to escape, floating around like a rogue alien! It was incredibly frustrating, and my eyes were getting so red from all the poking and prodding. Then came the makeup. Oh, the makeup. It felt like the makeup isn't makeuping at all. I was trying to create a dramatic eye look to go with my new blue gaze, but everything just felt off. My eyeliner didn't want to open smoothly, making precise lines impossible. And to top it all off, I picked up my blend brush only to realize it still had dried black eyeshadow on it from a previous look! Of course, I forgot to clean it, and suddenly, my soft transition shade became a muddy mess. Talk about adding insult to injury. And don't even get me started on *the lashes don't want to be glued*. I was battling with the glue, the lash band, and my own patience. They either wouldn't stick, or they'd pop off at the inner corner. It was a whole ordeal, and by this point, I was ready to give up. The entire process of getting ready, which should have been fun, became a stressful marathon. To add to the ambiance, my boyfriend was in the background, breathing heavily like Darth Vader after a workout, which, while not directly related to my beauty woes, certainly didn't help my already frayed nerves! In the end, my eyes did look different, but maybe not in the way I envisioned. The Desio Icy Blue contacts were indeed a striking color, but my experience getting them in, combined with the makeup struggles, made the whole thing feel less glamorous and more like a battle. So, if you're thinking of trying Desio Icy Blue, be prepared for potential challenges. Have your contact solution, eye drops, and a lot of patience ready. And maybe clean your brushes before you start! My journey with these lenses was definitely an experience, but perhaps next time, I'll carve out a full hour just for the contacts themselves!
