Why I QUIT 75 HARD ‼️‼️

1️⃣ ALL OR NOTHING MENTALITY

This challenge has to do with mental toughness and it definitely affected my mental health. It has an all or nothing mentality meaning if you miss one thing you have to completely start from day one again. I'm very much an on task kind of girl so I did the challenge as it was written, no modifications. To make it far and start over just because I couldn't do the second workout OUTSIDEE is insaneeee. It often had me feeling down on myself for not doing a second workout in my already Jam Packed day.

2️⃣ NOT Enough Emphasis on Recovery

If you do anything every single day, your body can potentially be strained or at risk for injury when you don't properly recover. Now this depends on the intensity of the workouts but I lift 5 days a week. That second workout is normally a walk or cardio. I could feel more soreness in my body and some days I didn't want to do anything due to it. My recovery is essential.

3️⃣ WASN'T SUSTAINABLE FOR MY LIFE

Now I know the 75 warriors gone get under here and say "people make time for what they want" and yada yada which is true to a certain degree. But two things can be true people make time for what they want and you can't do EVERYTHING you want every single day. Some of the obligations in my life I have just didn't fit with this challenge. And I'm not one for forcing things to fit that don't.

This challenge was not for me but I like way it challenged me to move more, and be more conscious of the choices I'm making.

75 harders don't come for me 🤷🏾‍♀️😘

... Read moreThe 75 Hard challenge, while popular for promoting discipline and endurance, can impose an overwhelming all-or-nothing mentality that is often difficult to sustain. It's important to recognize that mental health should always come first. Over-committing to intense daily workouts without adequate recovery can lead to burnout or injury. Many participants push through fatigue, but this can exacerbate feelings of inadequacy when they struggle to meet daily requirements. The challenge can make participants feel guilty for not fully committing, which undermines progress. Acknowledging personal limits is crucial for long-term success in fitness. Moreover, the demands of daily work and personal obligations may clash with strict fitness regimens. Balancing life and health is essential, but pushing to fit unhealthy routines can lead to stress and resentment. Ultimately, while the 75 Hard challenge aims to encourage growth, it’s vital to prioritize a sustainable approach that respects individual circumstances and physical well-being. Finding enjoyable and manageable ways to stay active can often prove more rewarding than strict adherence to grueling programs.
