When I threw the Pyro, it had a much more pronounced fade than the Balance. It's a disc you can really trust to finish left (for RHBH) every time, making it fantastic for flex shots, spike hyzers, and those reliable utility throws. For powerful throwers who sometimes OVERPOWER their discs, the Pyro offers that much-needed stability to prevent unwanted TURNOVERS. It handles a lot of power and is great for getting around obstacles or making sure your disc doesn't flip. So, how do they compare directly? When considering a disc for RANGE, I found the Balance to be more forgiving for shaping lines and getting a bit more glide on straighter shots. The Pyro, on the other hand, excels when you need absolute predictability and a strong fade, especially in windy conditions. I was trying to reach THE BASKET IS 300' AWAY on some holes, and with a clean throw, the Balance felt like it could get there with less effort, flying a bit further on its line. However, if I needed to ensure a specific finish, the Pyro was my go-to. For SHOTS requiring tight control and a straight finish, the Balance shined. For strong hyzer BOMBS or approaches where you really need that reliable fade, the Pyro took the lead.
