Single Layer Oreo Cake 🖤
Wet Ingredients
* 1/3 cup oil, I used vegetable (You can also use melted butter if you would like.)
* 2/3 cups white granulated sugar, or whatever sugar you have
* 2 large eggs, room temperature
* 1/2 cup milk, dairy or non dairy
* 2 tsp vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
* 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
* 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
* 1/2 tsp baking salt, or table salt
Add ins
* 10 crushed oreos, divided between 1/2 for batter and 1/2 for frosting
Vanilla Oreo Frosting
* 2 cups powdered sugar
* 4 tbsp melted butter
* 2 tsp vanilla extract
* 2-3 tbsp milk
* Crushed oreos, leftover oreos you did not use in batter
Bake Temperature: 350F
Bake Time: 25-30 minutes, until knife or toothpick comes out clean
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. In a bowl, add your oil, milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk together.
3. Now in a separate bowl, sift or mix your flour, baking powder, and salt together.
4. Combine your wet and dry ingredients together and blend with a hand mixer or mix with a whisk until batter is smooth.
5. Now take your oreos and crush them in a ziplock bag.
6. Pour half of the oreos into the cake batter and fold in.
7. Spray/grease a round cake pan and pour your cake batter in. Bang your pan to release air bubbles.
8. Bake at 350F for 25-30 minutes until a knife or toothpick comes out clean.
9. Once your cake is finished baking, let cool for 20 in the pan and then flip and release it onto a baking dish. Let cool completely.
10. In a bowl, add your powdered sugar, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until your frosting forms.
11. Fold your leftover oreos into frosting and fold in.
12. Once cake is cooled completely, add your frosting on top and spread evenly on cake.
13. Cut and enjoy 🖤🤍.
