How to get a new piercing for your next cute event without actually getting a piercing… 😝
One of my favorite things to do when I’m going to any type of event where I want to change my look just a little bit and keep it subtle, is add a new piercing!! But to be honest with you, I have a lot of real piercings already and I don’t need any more (I think) (that’s probably a lie)
So for now, I just use half magic!! 🫶🏻
Ask magic is Donni Davy’s Brand (she is the make up artist on euphoria) and the brand is amazing. More specifically her face pearls are amazing!! ($12 on her site)
These are the gems that I use to create a look of faux piercings. I use the silver ones, but her gems come in all different styles. You guys have to try out this fun little look I’m telling you😍
... Read moreYou know that feeling when you want to switch up your look for an event, but getting a new piercing feels like too much commitment (or pain!)? I totally get it! That’s why I'm obsessed with temporary body adornments – they give you all the style points without any of the permanence. My go-to, as I mentioned, are those amazing Half Magic Face Pearls by Donni Davy. They come in gorgeous shades like bold metallic gold and silver, and you can seriously create any look, from a subtle sparkle near your eye to a bold statement on your cheek.
But beyond just face gems, there's a whole world of 'piercing-like' accessories you can explore! For instance, if you're curious about how a nose piercing might look, try stick-on nose studs. They’re super tiny and often come with a hypoallergenic adhesive, letting you experiment with placements without even needing lash glue. I've seen some adorable, small nose piercing designs that look incredibly realistic!
And for those who love the ear stack trend but aren't ready for more holes, decorative ear cuffs are a game-changer. They simply clasp onto the cartilage of your ear, giving the illusion of multiple piercings. You can find them in all sorts of styles, from delicate chains to intricate designs that hug your ear. They’re perfect for adding a touch of edge or elegance, and you can swap them out to match any outfit. No need to worry about specific 'piercing names' when you can try on so many styles temporarily!
The best part about these faux options is the freedom they offer. Want to see if a 'cat eye piercing' suits you? Grab some tiny face gems and place them strategically. Thinking about different ear jewelry? Try some decorative ear cuffs first. It's like a risk-free trial!
When it comes to application for face gems, building on what I mentioned, the key is precision and a good adhesive. I always start with a tiny dot of strong, clear lash glue – Velour Lash Glue is my personal favorite, and it’s super reliable. Then, using a pair of fine-tipped tweezers, I carefully pick up a Half Magic pearl and gently place it onto the glue. The OCR mentioned they come in various sizes, so you can mix and match to create unique patterns. Just hold it in place for a few seconds to let the glue set, and you’re good to go! For removal, a little warm water and gentle rubbing usually do the trick, or a makeup remover for stubborn spots. Always be gentle around your eyes!
These temporary adornments are fantastic for festivals, parties, or just adding a bit of sparkle to your everyday. They let you express your style and play with different aesthetics without any long-term commitment. It’s all about having fun and being creative with your look!
These face gems are so cool! I love the idea of faux piercings. Much less commitment than a real piercing. I'm definitely trying this for my next event!
