How I transformed for my wedding!
Weddings are about so much more than one big day—they’re also about the moments leading up to it, how you feel about yourself, and the journey to look and feel your best. So, here’s how I turned prepping for my wedding into a process of fun, reflection, and a little transformation. Let’s go.
🏃🏼♀️ Turning Down the Weight and Turning Up the Flow
First up, I swapped heavy lifting for lighter movement like Pilates. I had a lot of muscle before, which just wasn’t the vibe I wanted for myself. I started lighter resistance workouts, and it was, honestly, the best decision. The changes were exactly what I hoped for—plus, Pilates became something I look forward to, not dread.
🌟 Playing with Aesthetic Energy
I spent some serious time experimenting with colors, looks, and styles that feel like me. No more chasing trends—it’s about what fits me best. Honestly, rediscovering my own vibe not only improved my closet, but my everyday confidence.
💇🏽♀️ Back to Basics
This was huge for me. I went natural with my hair—dyed it back to my roots and chopped off the extra. It’s the perfect closet-cleanout moment, but for your head. Dramatic? Yes. Worth it? Also yes.
🧴Skin: The Glow-Up Mission
For skin, I handed myself over to the pros with monthly HydraFacials and a curated at-home regimen that’s leveled me up in the glow department. I even tried two sessions of liquid microneedling, which was less aggressive but really effective. Oh, and let’s not forget the extra bits—teeth whitening, and a touch of Dysport for what I like to call the “wedding glow.” No regrets.
🧘🏼♀️ Prioritizing... Me
This year, I made time for myself. I stopped letting other people’s opinions dictate how I live and just leaned into how I wanted to feel. If you’re planning a wedding, here’s your sign to set boundaries and let go of the noise.
💅🏻 Fixing My Hands
Hands = important for all those wedding photos, yeah? Working with heavy shop tools didn’t exactly leave my hands photo-ready, so I made it a point to stay on top of my nail health. A little hand TLC went a long way in helping me feel like a bride!
At the end of the day, preparing for my wedding wasn’t just about looking a certain way—or ticking every box on a to-do list. It became this amazing journey of figuring out what truly feels like me. Every little change brought me closer to feeling confident, happy, and ready for such a special moment. So here’s to transformations, big and small, and to loving ourselves along the way.
