College as A working Mom!

"✨🎓 Never give up on your dreams! ✨🎓

After graduating high school, I attended Ohio State University, but it wasn't the right time for me. I dropped out and pursued cosmetology school. 👩‍🎤

Years later while being pregnant with my son, I felt the pull to finish my education. I enrolled in my local community college and earned my Associate's Degree. 📚

Feeling inspired, I decided to go for my Bachelor's! 🎓 Finding the right school was key – I needed flexibility. After months of searching, I landed at BW, which offered an online program that maximized the credits I already had. 💻

Today, I'm pursuing a double major in Marketing and Innovation Management, with minors in Human Resources and Entrepreneurship. 📈

Juggling school, being a mom to an almost 6-year-old, and working full-time is definitely a challenge! 💪🏼 How do YOU balance it all?

P.S. How did you find the right college for you? I'd love to hear your tips!

Many mothers face this balancing act, juggling responsibilities at home, work commitments, and academic deadlines. Community colleges often provide flexible schedules suitable for parents. Online programs are also a great choice for those needing convenience. Beyond academics, it's essential to have a strong support network—friends, family, or fellow students can make the journey much easier. Developing effective time-management skills is crucial. Set realistic goals and prioritize tasks to ensure you can handle everything without feeling overwhelmed. Remember to carve out personal time to recharge, as self-care is vital for maintaining overall well-being. Lastly, engage with communities and forums that share similar experiences.
