How to Check Your Food for Added Sugar SAVE NOW!🧁🎀

You may be eating a lot of sugar and you don’t even know it because you don’t understand how to read the nutrition label, but I’m gonna tell you it’s really simple.

🌸Here’s how you’re gonna find out if the food that you’re eating has added sugar in it. Reducing my added sugar is one of many things that helped me reduce inflammation and chronic pain, smooth my skin, balance my blood work, release 30 pounds and so much more!

🌸I do not focus on weight loss. I focus on building a healthy relationship with food which means being knowledgeable about what I eat.

🌸 1. Read the Nutrition Label:

-Look for the “Total Sugars” section. It will list the total amount of sugar per serving.

-Under “Total Sugars,” there is a line that says “Includes ____ grams of Added Sugars.” This number may be a different than total sugars and it tells you how much extra sugar that they added into your food, outside of what naturally occurs.

🌸 think of it this way let’s say you have some fresh strawberries, fresh strawberries, naturally have a sweet taste (sugar) however let’s say you want to make that strawberry taste even sweeter so you go into your cabinet, pull out the sugar and add extra sugar to the strawberry.

🌸This is exactly what some food manufacturers are doing to your food and you don’t even know it. And for some of us who think we’re eating healthy it’s actually sabotaging your health goals so if you struggle to see progress in your lab work at your doctor or progress in your weight release, check the added sugar.

🌸2. Check the Ingredients List:

-Some products may say “No Added Sugar,” “Unsweetened,” or “Sugar-Free.” On the packaging however, these claims can sometimes be misleading, so always verify by checking BOTH the nutrition facts label and the ingredients list.

🌸 3. Understand Different Terms:

-Be aware that there are many different names for added sugars (brown sugar, corn syrup, fructose etc). Familiarize yourself with these terms to better identify them in the ingredients list.

-The higher on the ingredients list that the sugar is listed the higher amount of sugar in the product. The lower on the ingredient list that it’s listed the lower the amount of sugar in the products.
