📖 Reference Bible Verse

"For whoever exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted" (Luke 14: 11).

"God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4: 6).

"He that is humble shall inherit the land, and shall rejoice in its fulness" (Psalm 37: 11).

🕊️ Description

Humility does not mean to insult oneself, but to know one's true self to God and others, is to accept that we rely on God, not one's own strength.

In the eyes of God, the humble is he who exalts God supreme, and diminishes himself from hubris.

Judaism, Christians, and Islam teach that those who humble themselves to God will be exalted in his time.

In the last days, humility is the "shield" against Satan's temptation, for the humble will not be lost in the power, fame, or position exalted by the world, but will look forward to God's exaltation at the last day.

🌱. Everyday use.

1. In work or ministry → Do it with a love heart, not for fame or praise.

2. In the family → Listen to others first, speak politely, and do not oppress each other.

3. In the religious community → Take a mild, polite attitude, exemplary instead of ostentatious.

4. In the last days → Be careful not to fall into the great trap promised by the world (such as power, money, fame), but to seize God's eternal truth and promise.

Am I doing good things to glorify God, or to exalt myself?

If Jesus returned today, would I find him as "the humble one" or "the proud one"?

Every day, what do I do that expresses that I raise the Most High God and lower myself?
