All you need for a medical school application!

🥹The med school application itself is a year long process! You really must start soon enough to have a well crafted medical school application!

🙌Start gathering clinical experience as soon as you start undergrad! Keep good relations and network with your professors so that you can ask for Letters of Recommendation! Also, make sure that you are doing as well as possible in your premed classes to keep your GPA up!

🙌For the MCAT, I would try to take it atleast the year before you are planning to apply, just so that you can focus on your personal statement, and essays when you approach the year you want to apply!

🙌The AAMC preview and casper exams are judgement based exams that measure your mindset for the field of medicine! You can always take those after you submit your application! Some schools might not even require!

... Read moreThe process of applying to medical school can be daunting, but understanding its components helps ease the journey. Your GPA plays a crucial role; most successful candidates maintain a strong academic record, usually above a 3.5. When preparing for the MCAT, aim to take it at least a year in advance. This allows you ample time to refine your personal statement and secondary essays, which are pivotal in showcasing your passion for medicine. Clinical experience is equally important. Engage in volunteer work or internships related to healthcare to demonstrate your commitment and gain insights into the medical profession. Networking with professors is vital as well; fostering these relationships can provide you with robust letters of recommendation that highlight your strengths and readiness for medical school. Additionally, familiarize yourself with exams like the AAMC PREview and Casper, which assess your suitability for medicine, though they may not be required by all schools. By strategically planning your application components, you can significantly enhance your chances of acceptance.
