Make This Tonight | 4-Ingredient Dinner for Busy Days (15 minutes, no prep 🤍)
This is one of those meals I didn’t fully film… but it was too good (and too easy) not to share.
A real-life, dressed enough kind of dinner:
simple, balanced, and made almost entirely from the freezer.
What I used:
• Trader Joe’s frozen breaded fish sticks
• Frozen broccoli florets
• Frozen crinkle cut carrots
• Trader Joe’s frozen brown rice
How I made it:
Steam your rice on low with a splash of water (~6 mins).
Add veggies to the air fryer, fish sticks on top → air fry + recrisp → flip → recrisp again until golden and crispy.
Layer it all into a bowl and that’s it ✔️
Optional: drizzle soy sauce or Soyaki for extra flavor
No chopping. No stress. Just something warm and filling on the table in 15 minutes.
Save this for the nights when you need dinner fast 🤍

When life gets busy, having a foolproof, quick dinner recipe that requires minimal ingredients and prep is a game-changer. I’ve tried this 4-ingredient Trader Joe’s dinner multiple times, and it never fails to satisfy my craving for something warm, crispy, and nutritious. What I love most is that the entire meal comes straight from the freezer, making it incredibly convenient without compromising on flavor. The air fryer is my go-to appliance for this recipe. It crisps the fish sticks perfectly while steaming the frozen vegetables retains their tenderness and freshness. The method of layering veggies first, then placing fish sticks on top lets the heat circulate evenly, giving everything the ideal texture. Plus, steaming the frozen brown rice with just a splash of water in about 6 minutes makes the meal balanced and filling. For extra taste, I often drizzle soy sauce or Trader Joe’s Soyaki sauce on top. It adds a savory, slightly sweet kick and takes the meal from simple to delicious. Another bonus is zero chopping required — everything is pre-prepped and ready to cook, which saves so much time and effort, especially after a hectic day. This dish is perfect for those who want to maintain a balanced diet without spending hours in the kitchen. The frozen broccoli and crinkle cut carrots provide fiber and nutrients, the fish sticks give protein, and brown rice rounds it off with healthy carbs. It’s also budget-friendly since all the ingredients are fairly inexpensive and easy to stock up on. If you’re someone who often finds themselves in a rush but still wants a wholesome dinner, this recipe is ideal. It’s a real-life, dressed-enough kind of meal that’s satisfying and quick. Keep some of these Trader Joe’s freezer staples handy, and you’ll have dinner ready in a flash with little clean-up required. It’s definitely my go-to for those busy weeknights when I want something warm on the table without the stress or prep workload.
