Tres Leches Cake
Tres Leches cake for my boyfriend. Personally, I don’t like this cake. But it’s his favorite and I like to bake so it works out lol.
Normally I would do a cake from scratch, but our daughter is teething pretty hard lately so box cake is just easier.
1 box cake mix of choice
1 cup milk
1 small can of sweet n condensed milk
1 small can of evaporated milk
Make cake per box instructions. Allow to cool fully, take a fork or anything similar to poke holes all over the cake. Go around the edges of the cake as well so the mixture can go down the sides.
Once cooled and poked, make your milk mixture with the above mentioned ingredients. Pour all of it in small amounts at a time. Allow to chill in the fridge for a couple hours.
You can add cool whip or frosting if you’d like or whatever toppings you want. We put Oreos that I first soaked in the milk mixture before placing on top. Then I put just a small amount of cool whip on each one. One got a little messed up since my kitten tried to climb my leg when I was doing it lol.
