i am vegan for moral reasons and have decided im ok with eating eggs if they come from someone’s backyard.

i feel like its the best decision for me and my health, especially since my lifestyle is really active

For me, veganism is about minimizing harm to animals. I diligently sought out local farmers and friends who raise chickens humanely, allowing them to free-range, forage, and live natural lives. Knowing these hens aren't exploited in industrial settings makes all the difference for my conscience. It's about supporting local, ethical practices rather than large-scale animal agriculture. From a nutritional standpoint, eggs have been a game-changer. They're a fantastic source of complete protein, which is vital for muscle repair and recovery after hitting the gym. I often whip up a quick 'post workout meal' featuring a perfectly 'fried egg' on my 'avo toast.' The combination of healthy fats from avocado and the protein from the egg keeps me feeling full and energized. I've also found that eggs contribute valuable nutrients like Vitamin B12, choline, and Vitamin D – all of which can sometimes be tricky to get enough of on a purely plant-based diet, especially without fortified foods or supplements. For my active needs, this has been incredibly beneficial. Beyond meals, staying hydrated and replenishing electrolytes is also a big part of my health routine. I often add 'electrolyte drops' to my seltzer during and after workouts to ensure optimal performance and recovery. It’s all about a holistic approach to wellness!
