The Grief of Letting Go

I almost had a relapse into my old life. Nostalgia almost made me backtrack but something inside me said no it’s a trick. It’s OK to reminisce on old feelings, but it’s not OK to run back to comfort. You have to remind yourself why you can no longer be around certain spirits. You have to remind yourself of the bigger picture. Does this person serve my higher good or is this person draining me? Does this person really want to see me grow or does this person want to ride my wave? It’s hard to close a book that you really like, but what’s even harder is to reread the book and expect a different result at the end Boundaries is key to peace. #boundariesmatter #lettinggo #selflovehabits #selfcarelifestyle #empathy #movingon #griefawareness #embracethejourney

To truly move forward, one must reflect on past choices and confront the emotional attachments that hold us back. Understanding the significance of boundaries can empower you to protect your mental and emotional well-being. Setting these limits is crucial when interacting with people who drain your energy or do not support your growth. This awareness allows you to prioritize yourself and your ambitions. In the context of grief, whether from losing a loved one or distancing from an unhealthy relationship, it's important to acknowledge your feelings and actively choose paths that promote healing. The act of letting go can lead to newfound clarity and strength, allowing you to form healthier connections in the future. It's a motivational step toward a fulfilling life, fostering resilience and a deeper understanding of your worth.

Some things were never meant to be carried forever. Some loves, identities, dreams, relationships, and versions of ourselves deserve more than being dragged through every season of our lives. They deserve to be honored. Buried gently. Given back to the earth instead of turned into bitterness.
