Glow Up Challenge Day 4

Today's workout was an unconventional type of cardio, according to my opinion. Heather created a workout routine consisting of short reps that lasted up to 5 minutes each. Although it was a challenging cardio workout, my heart rate was elevated, and I was able to complete it successfully. If you are a part of the glow-up challenge, it's important to keep yourself motivated and prepare your mind to push through challenging workouts. I almost skipped today's workout, but the thought of achieving my goals and being accountable to my followers kept me going. If you haven't exercised today, I suggest taking a 30-minute walk or engaging in any physical activity for at least 30 minutes. There are various workout routines available, and I recommend checking out Heather Robertson's YouTube channel, where she has compiled different playlists to kickstart your workout challenge for the month.

While today was intense cardio with those 'short reps' and 'five minutes of each' style workouts, her challenges often combine strength, HIIT, and low-impact days. It keeps things interesting and targets different muscle groups, so you never get bored. I remember thinking some of the 'workouts were different' than what I was used to, but that's exactly what sparks new growth! If you're just starting, my biggest piece of advice is to prepare mentally. There will be days, like my Day 4, where you feel like you 'ain't never gonna let myself' finish, but remember your 'why.' Heather’s workouts are designed to push you, but they're also scalable. Don't be afraid to modify if you need to, especially when you're just getting into the groove. Consistency beats perfection every single time. Staying motivated is key. Beyond accountability from my followers, I find setting small, achievable goals helps. Maybe it's just showing up, or hitting one extra rep. And on those days when I feel like I just want to 'stop being lazy and go work,' I remind myself how good I feel afterward. The energy boost is real! Making a dedicated workout space or having a killer playlist also makes a huge difference. A 'glow up' isn't just about sweat, though. It's holistic! Don't forget the importance of nourishing your body with good food and getting enough sleep. These factors amplify your workout results and contribute hugely to how you feel daily. Heather's YouTube channel is a goldmine for these challenges, with tons of free resources and follow-along workouts that make it super easy to jump in. So, whether you're on Day 1 or pushing past Day 4 like me, keep going! Every minute you dedicate to yourself is a step closer to your 'glow up' goals. Let's conquer these challenges together and feel our absolute best!
