Leaving being a SAHM
I can’t believe I let myself think I couldn’t go back to work that I was incompetent and not smart enough…I let my mind ruin me for 4 years!!!!! I’ll never forgive myself for what I put myself through, my depression was the worst it had ever been! A switch flicked in me going back to work, I feel like I can conquer anything! Being an influencer and working and juggling mom life is going to be hard but it was harder staying where I just was, in the dark for 4 years!! #sahm #Lemon8Diary #embracevulnerability #fyp #momsoflemon8
Returning to work after being a Stay-At-Home Mom (SAHM) for several years can feel daunting. Many mothers grapple with feelings of inadequacy and anxiety during this transition, especially if they’ve faced mental health challenges such as postpartum depression (PPD). The journey often starts with self-reflection and recognizing the importance of self-worth. Moms may find support in communities dedicated to working mothers, which can provide invaluable resources and encouragement. Balancing work and family life is challenging, yet many moms report feeling empowered and fulfilled once they re-enter the workforce. Here are some tips for a successful transition: 1. **Set Realistic Expectations**: Understand that both work and home life will require adjustments and patience. 2. **Establish a Support System**: Connect with other working mothers who can offer advice and share experiences. 3. **Prioritize Self-Care**: Taking care of your mental health is crucial. Make time for yourself to rejuvenate and refocus. 4. **Keep Open Communication**: Discuss your new schedule and responsibilities with your family, setting clear expectations and boundaries. This journey is not just about going back to work; it’s also about reclaiming your identity, building resilience, and showcasing that moms can conquer their fears and pursue their passions.
