How I Grew my 4 Type Hair 🍯

1. Mary Ruth Multivitamin- A bit on the pricey side but there are deals through Tiktok shop(I personally have a subscription for every 6 weeks)

Make sure your iron levels are good, I also took SSS TONIC to help !(you can get it off of amazon for less than $20)

2. BTL Hair Lotion- i use this daily or every 2 days lightly so my hair doesn’t get dry and I follow up with any hair oil I have to lock in moisture.

I only use blue magic in colder months!

3. I kept my hair in natural box braids and washed it in braids ever 2 to 3 weeks then I redid them 1 at a time so I can keep the parts.

Any questions feel free to ask !

... Read moreGrowing Type 4 hair can be a rewarding yet challenging journey, especially when aiming for length retention and healthy growth. In my experience, consistent care and the right products make all the difference. One key aspect of my routine is focusing on hydration. Using BTL Hair Lotion every day or every other day helps keep my hair moisturized without weighing it down, and I always follow up with a nourishing hair oil to lock in that moisture. This routine has been vital, especially considering how prone Type 4 hair is to dryness. In addition to topical care, I found that incorporating a high-quality multivitamin supplement like Mary Ruth’s Liquid Morning Multivitamin significantly supports my hair growth from within. Although it can be a bit pricey, subscribing every six weeks through platforms like TikTok Shop can help with savings. This supplement is formulated to promote thicker and fuller hair, which I’ve noticed over time. Protective styling has been another cornerstone of my hair growth journey. I keep my hair in natural box braids, which not only reduce manipulation but also protect the ends from breakage. Washing my hair while braided every two to three weeks helps maintain cleanliness without disrupting the style. When redoing the braids, I take my time to do them one at a time, which helps me keep neat partings and minimizes stress on the hairline. During colder months, I switch products, opting for Blue Magic to provide extra moisture and protection against harsh weather. Each season might require a slight adjustment to your regimen, so paying attention to your hair’s needs throughout the year is essential. Also, remember that every hair growth journey is personal. My approach focuses on consistency—whether it’s the schedule for washing, product application, or taking vitamins regularly. Seeing progress, like thicker and longer hair over the course of a year, encourages me to stick to this routine. If you’re on a similar path, give these tips a try and be patient with your hair; it will reward you with length retention and vitality over time. If you have questions or want to share your own experience, feel free to join hair communities with hashtags like #4ahairtips, #4bnaturalhair, and #growyourhairwithme, where you can find support and inspiration.
