Somewhere along the way, taking care of everyone else became normal…
and taking care of yourself started feeling selfish.
You kept showing up.
For your family.
For work.
For the people who needed you.
For the responsibilities that never seemed to end.
And little by little, you moved yourself to the bottom of your own list.
Maybe you don’t need a completely different life.
Maybe you just need to start making room for yourself in the life you already have. ♡
That’s what Get Up & Choose You is about.
Not becoming someone else.
Not changing everything overnight.
Not doing it perfectly.
Just learning to choose yourself again—
one small choice at a time.
If one of these 5 signs felt a little too familiar, maybe this is your reminder:
You belong on your list, too. ♡
Save this for the day you need to remember that.

For many of us, prioritizing ourselves can feel like an act of selfishness, especially when life demands so much of our time and energy. From my own experience, I found that the subtle shifts—like feeling guilty for resting or noticing a fading excitement for things I once loved—were signs that I had stopped choosing myself without even realizing it. It wasn’t about making massive life changes overnight but rather about small, intentional decisions to carve out space for my own well-being. One powerful approach I discovered was setting simple daily boundaries. For example, I began allocating just 15 minutes each day for activities that replenished me, whether that was reading, meditating, or simply sitting quietly. These small moments became anchors in my routine, gently reminding me that I deserve care and attention too. Another insight was learning to say 'no' without guilt. This was challenging at first because I was so used to saying 'yes' for others, but with practice, I realized that saying 'no' was a form of self-respect and essential for maintaining my energy. If you resonate with any of the five signs like feeling drained, neglecting your own needs, or needing a break but feeling undeserving, remember: you belong on your own list, too. You don’t need a completely different life; you just need to make room for yourself in the one you already live. Choosing yourself is a journey filled with imperfect steps and gentle reminders—and that's perfectly okay. This mindset shift can open the door to renewed passion, energy, and joy in your everyday life.
