When you’re not ugly, but don’t have PP

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had moments when what I look like has positively affected how I’ve been treated. But I’ve also had lots of moments where I’ve been the friend in the group who was ignored and even been told I was “too dark” to enter a club but was let in cause my YT friend was with me. Depending on the day, and my weight, I can be a solid 8 or a solid 5. Again this is only going off of my experiences. Let me be clear, I KNOW I’m beautiful. But it can be mind bending when the world you’re living in tries to tell you otherwise. This phenomenon raises questions about self-acceptance and societal standards of beauty, especially for those who may feel they do not fit into conventional ideals. It’s important to recognize that beauty is subjective; while one might be viewed as an 8 today, tomorrow's number may differ based on a multitude of factors including mood, societal trends, and personal growth. Therefore, redefining beauty as a personal journey helps build a more inclusive understanding of attractiveness beyond just looks. Emphasizing self-love, acceptance, and the acknowledgment of one's own beauty—whatever that may look like—encourages a healthier relationship with oneself. The journey toward self-acceptance can be transformative, allowing individuals to navigate through the superficial judgments of the world with confidence and pride.
