Not even the flu can stop me from being a baddie this summer
When I caught the flu this summer, I was determined not to let it dull my baddie energy. One of the first things I noticed was how easy it is to feel low and skip self-care when you’re unwell. But I found that sticking to simple beauty routines and adapting them for when I had less energy really helped me maintain my confidence. For skincare, hydration was key. I used gentle, moisturizing products—much like those from Hudabeauty’s range—to keep my skin from drying out due to sickness and medication. A lightweight, soothing moisturizer and a hydrating mist became my go-to, giving my face a refreshed look without much effort. When it came to makeup, I focused on subtle enhancements rather than heavy looks. Applying a tinted moisturizer with SPF helped protect my skin and even out my complexion without feeling cakey. A bit of mascara and a natural lip tint were enough to make me feel put-together. Plus, using multi-use products saved time and energy. Most importantly, I gave myself grace. I listened to my body and allowed rest when needed, knowing that my beauty and confidence also come from feeling good inside. Embracing treatments and products that support my skin and health helped me bounce back faster while keeping my baddie vibe intact. If you’re battling anything this season, remember: taking small steps to care for yourself can make a big difference. Embrace hydration, simplified makeup routines, and the right skincare, and you too can stay stylish and confident—even on your off days.
