I was legitimately really pissed off😂at myself. But at least I was complaining DURING my workout than not doing the workout. Just sayin🤷🏽♀️🤣
I’ve found that feeling frustrated during workouts is actually more common than we might think, especially if you’re a new mom trying to get back into fitness. It’s easy to feel annoyed at yourself or your trainer, but allowing yourself to express those feelings—whether through complaints or laughter—can be a surprisingly effective coping mechanism. During my postpartum journey, I often caught myself grumbling through the tougher parts of my workout. Instead of seeing this as a setback, I realized that the act of venting kept me engaged and present in my exercise routine. Complaining gave me an outlet to process the physical and mental challenges I faced, making the workout feel less like a chore and more like a shared experience with myself. Interestingly, there’s also some truth in the idea that a little humor and lightheartedness during tough moments can boost motivation. When I thought about the phrase "When you train yourself and hate your trainer," it reminded me that sometimes our hardest critic is ourselves. Yet, that signal doesn’t mean giving up; it means pushing through with a smile—or a groan—and learning to appreciate the progress hidden behind the discomfort. For any fit moms or postpartum women, remember that your fitness journey is unique and often challenging. It’s okay to have moments of dissatisfaction during workouts. The key is to keep moving, even if sometimes it’s with a bit of complaining or laughter. Staying consistent and acknowledging your own feelings can make all the difference in building a sustainable and enjoyable fitness habit.
