Day 19 of 100: becoming a runner challenge
Day 19 — I can’t believe I’m almost 3 weeks in.
Still feels like Day 3… just a little easier now.
Woke up at 5:30 to run and actually looked forward to it??
Can’t wait for the weekend when I’ll have more time outside.
25 mins running + 20 mins yoga = good day. 🌿
As I reach Day 19 of my 100-day journey to becoming a runner, I can't help but reflect on the changes I've experienced. Initially, the idea of running felt daunting, yet each day brings new feelings of accomplishment and joy. Setting my alarm for 5:30 AM was once a challenge, but now I wake up excited for my runs. The serene morning air accompanied by the rhythm of my breath makes every step worthwhile. Incorporating yoga into my routine has not only enhanced my flexibility and strength but also provided a sense of calm and mindfulness that complements my running practice. This balance of cardio and restorative exercise is crucial for my overall well-being, especially during a challenge that spans over three months. Many people often wonder how to maintain motivation during long-term fitness goals. Finding a supportive community, like joining the #Lemon8Challenge or connecting with fellow runners, has been instrumental. Sharing experiences and tips with others helps to foster a sense of camaraderie and accountability. If you're looking to embark on a similar journey, creating a schedule that includes varied activities can keep things interesting. Moreover, as weekends approach, I find more opportunities to explore new trails and routes, further enhancing my experience. Engaging with beautiful surroundings makes my runs more enjoyable and invigorating. In conclusion, persistence and community support are key aspects of my 100-day challenge journey. If you're considering becoming a runner, remember to start at your own pace, set achievable goals, and most importantly, have fun along the way!
