Day 18/100 – Me vs Me Challenge becoming a runner
Done & dusted by 6:30am 💪
Today felt… good. Not hard. Just me, the quiet morning, and a bunch of rain-loving worms 🌧️🪱
I’ve been letting summer mornings move slowly, giving myself space to wake up, reset, and breathe before heading into the office. After a full afternoon of kiddo appointments and a quick dinner, Khloe 👧🏼💕🌻 and I decided to take the golden hour for ourselves. She biked. I walked (with ankle weights for ✨spice✨) and read my book 📖 — racing the calendar to finish before the end of the month!
New running shoes came in (finally!) so I’ll be breaking those babies in soon 👟
No yoga tonight, just rest and a heart that’s showing up again tomorrow.
👣 Here’s to Day 19 — I’m ready.
As I navigate Day 18 of my running challenge, I'm reminded of the beauty of slow summer mornings. The quiet streets and soft rain create a perfect backdrop for reflection and resilience. Each run is more than just exercise; it's a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. This morning, I embraced the outdoors, the rhythm of my breath, and the sound of nature surrounding me. Incorporating ankle weights adds an extra layer of challenge, enhancing my strength and endurance. It's a reminder that while the path to becoming a runner can be tough, every step taken is a victory in itself. New running shoes have arrived, fueling my motivation and symbolizing new beginnings. Every mile brings me closer to my goals and reaffirms my commitment to this challenge. I invite fellow fitness enthusiasts to share their experiences!
