DIML as a college student✨

Here’s a day in my life!

2 of my classes were canceled so I was able to sleep in a little😛

I finished up some homework before going to class. I only had 2 classes today from 12:15-2:55.

I then did some more schoolwork & ate dinner before going to yoga🧘‍♀️

I showered, did my night time routine & went to bed!! 💤

... Read moreHey everyone! Building on my last post about a typical 'day in my life' as a college student, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into how I actually make it all work. It’s not always easy, and every day is different, but I've picked up some tips that might help you navigate your own college journey, especially when things don't go as planned, like those unexpected class cancellations! My mornings usually kick off with a focus on self-care, which I've found sets the tone for the whole day. After my alarm, I try not to immediately grab my phone. Instead, I head straight to the bathroom for my skincare routine. It's a small ritual, but using my favorite facial skincare products and applying that body lotion really helps me feel refreshed and ready. Sometimes, I'll even snap a quick mirror selfie to remind myself that I'm showing up for me! A quick, healthy breakfast, like that fruit meal with yogurt, is a must to fuel my brain for whatever comes next. When classes get canceled, like they did for me recently, it can be tempting to just relax, but I've learned to use that time wisely. Instead of just chilling, I'll often tackle my homework. I'll pull up my digital spreadsheet where I track assignments and prioritize. Whether it’s going over presentation slides or organizing my handwritten notes for a challenging subject, making progress on assignments during unexpected free time is a game-changer. For my actual classes, even if it's a virtual meeting in a waiting room, I try to stay engaged and jot down key points. It helps me avoid cramming later. After a day of classes and studying, it's so important to carve out time for myself. That's where my evening routine comes in. I make sure to fit in some physical activity, like going to the yoga studio. It's my favorite way to de-stress and clear my head before dinner. Then, winding down is crucial. My night time routine isn't just about skincare; it's about disconnecting. I try to limit screen time before bed, maybe watching a show on the TV screen for a bit, but then I switch to reading or just reflecting on my day. Getting a good night's sleep in my neatly made bed is non-negotiable for staying energized and focused for the next day's class schedule. College life is a constant juggle, but by being intentional with my time – from powering through homework to prioritizing my skincare products and yoga – I've found a routine that helps me thrive.
