It took me 7.5 hours to finish a marathon

Learning how to walk again after a traumatic ankle injury meant having to set new expectations of myself... and every day I am so proud of how far I have come!

Unfortunately, many people (often non-marathoners) laugh at 7 hrs 30 mins to complete a marathon, but for me it was my ‘crazy dream time’ after a 10 hr 20 mins finish at the London Marathon and less than a year since I started to learn how to walk again.

Thank you Chicago Marathon for such a remarkable experience!
