There is a kind of pain

that doesn’t just pass through you—

it settles in.

A kind of hurt

that brings you to your knees

without asking permission.

It lingers in your chest,

heavy and quiet,

like something you can’t fully name.

There are moments

when you try to breathe through it,

to swallow it down,

to pretend you’re okay—

but your body knows.

Your silence speaks louder than words.

You stand there,

trying to hold yourself together,

but something inside feels fractured,

like pieces you’re not sure how to gather again.

And when it finally breaks through—

when the feeling becomes too much to contain—

it comes out raw,

unfiltered,

real.

You don’t recognize yourself in those moments,

because pain like this changes you.

Grief takes many forms.

Loss of love.

Loss of trust.

Loss of the version of yourself

you thought you’d always be.

And sometimes…

it feels like something cut straight through you

and left you different.

If you understand this kind of pain,

then you already know—

it’s not something people see from the outside.

And it’s not something anyone should have to carry alone.

So if this is you…

I’m sorry.

But you’re still here.

Still breathing.

Still standing, even if it doesn’t feel like it.

And that matters more than it feels like it does. 🌿

... Read moreLiving with deep emotional pain is something many struggle with silently. I've found that acknowledging this kind of hurt—as not just passing discomfort but a heavy, lingering presence—can be the first step toward healing. Pain like this often feels invisible to others, but it profoundly affects how we see ourselves and our world. In my experience, grief doesn’t follow a predictable path. It morphs over time, encompassing losses we didn’t always expect, like losing trust or the future we envisioned for ourselves. That kind of loss can cut deep, making you feel fractured and unsure of how to put the pieces back together. Yet, it's important to remind yourself that feeling broken doesn't mean you're beyond repair. One of the most helpful practices I discovered is allowing myself to sit with the pain instead of swallowing or pretending I’m okay. It’s uncomfortable, but embracing those raw emotions can bring clarity and eventually relief. Sharing your feelings, whether with trusted friends, a support group, or through personal expression like writing or art, breaks the isolation that often compounds grief. Remember, healing is not linear. Some days will be harder than others, and that's okay. Maintaining even the smallest acts of self-care—breathing deeply, standing firmly despite the weight—builds resilience. If this resonates with you, know that your pain is valid and you are not alone. There is a silent strength in continuing to show up for yourself amidst the storm. And though the journey is difficult, this endurance matters—it is proof of your courage and the beginning of reclaiming your sense of self.
