Let’s talk about Heaven

As an addition to my series “back to the basics” let’s talk about heaven.

Heaven is a place where you never hunger, or thirst. No tears or pain. A place where we can be close to God. Be in his presence.

How beautiful Heaven must be.

Christian’s are unique. We are homesick for a place we’ve never been. How special that is.

When this world hurts us, we have a hope for a better place. This world is not our home, we are just passing through.

Heaven is a profound subject that has inspired countless discussions and reflections among believers. According to the Bible, it is described as a paradise where God dwells with His people, providing comfort and freedom from suffering. Revelation 21:4 emphasizes that God will wipe away every tear, and the old order of suffering will cease to exist. This vision of Heaven reassures those who face hardship, offering a solace that transcends life's challenges. The beauty of Heaven is also illustrated in Revelation 7:16-17, where it states that believers will never experience hunger or thirst, as they are shepherded to springs of living water by the Lamb. The security of Heaven is further affirmed in Revelation 21:27, which highlights that nothing impure will enter this holy place. For many Christians, the longing for Heaven signifies a deep spiritual yearning; they recognize this world as temporary and hold onto the promise of eternal life as presented in John 3:16. In times of distress, believers often find hope in the notion that they are 'just passing through' this world, guided by faith toward a better existence marked by love, joy, and communion with God. This hope not only uplifts the spirit but also serves as a powerful reminder of the divine love that awaits us in our eternal home.
