Anxious girls guide to peace
I’m a firm believer that anxiety and depression are both physical and mental ailments. Here’s some things that are both scientifically and anecdotally proven to relieve anxiety!
•sunshine- time outside and in the sun gives you the necessary vitamins to boost endorphins, dopamine, balance melatonin and give you the energy you need! Did you know more than 50% of Americans are vitamin D deficient? Get that sunshine!
•sleep- just like sunshine, sleep helps balance your hormones. While you sleep your body is circulating blood through your body and healing itself, getting ready for the next day. If you don’t let it heal, your mind won’t be ready to face the next day!
•baths with epsom salt- just like vitamin D, most Americans are deficient in magnesium! Epsom salts are 100% magnesium sulfate. This is a great way to turn your mind off, let the warm water relax your muscles and let that magnesium soak in.
•less caffeine- caffeine is a stimulant. Yes it wakes you up, but it raises your heart rate and if you’re prone to anxiety attacks, excess caffeine gets you half way there already.
•journal- sometimes we need to process our emotions and can’t do that without getting out our emotions. If you don’t have someone to talk to, write it down!
⭐️⭐️⭐️faith- this is the biggest reason I made this post so I hope you read it. I know a lot of people have suffered from church hurt and have religious trauma. I have some myself. But having something to put your hope in that is not yourself or another person is so empowering. There were so many times my anxiety got the best of me because I failed despite all my attempts. The moment I put my faith in Jesus and Gods plan for my life, I had so much peace in every situation.
☀️if you are an anxious person, I want you to know you’re not broken. Many people experience this and there is always another day. This moment will pass and you will come out on the other end stronger than you could have ever thought. 🫶🏻
