The problem with a meal plan isn’t always the food… it’s that it was never built with you in mind. Most plans are shaped around someone else’s preferences, culture, habits, and lifestyle. And when we try to follow them exactly, we can end up disconnected from ourselves… forcing foods we

During the 15 days my eating looked different than usual with… moments here I simply did what I could. But one thing I held onto, one boundary from the start and the one thing I wanted to overcome as long as I could remember: I stayed consistent with not eating after dinner. No late-night sn

How many of us are searching for the next solution… but never inviting our Creator into the process? I was one of them looking for: The next diet trend. The next weight-loss program. The next method that promises to finally fix everything. But sometimes we move from one tool to another w

By day 8, I was noticing something about eating one meal a day and here I am on day 38, confronting it: Because… Food is a tool, not a master. After getting back from vacation, I was having treats for a few days in a row because there’s a box of sweet treats in the house that was a gift 🍫

I’ve been doing OMAD as a lifestyle for over a month and over 2 months since I fasted with it… although the fast looked a little different but I tried my first-ever cottage cheese bowl on day 35 and it was actually delicious. It’s… Simple & Satisfying! I’ll definitely do tha again! But… I

If you can’t testify… stay with me 🛑 Because I get it! That used to be me too, stuck in cycles of overeating, yo-yo dieting, and letting my appetite control me. I’d overcome other obvious habits, but this one was easy to excuse 🥺 But Scripture says God has put all things under our feet in Christ

If you struggle with overeating, bingeing, or emotional eating, you know the mental noise. The planning your days around meals. The “What will I eat?” The “Will this turn into another binge episode?” The guilt before you even take a bite, while you’re eating and after you ate! That used to be

Let’s talk about the real part no one glamorizes. Hormones were loud these last few days. I was feeling cramps, lightheaded, nauseous and still wanting sweets. I’m not home so my schedule is all over the place 🤷🏻‍♀️ And yes… today I had two cookies and it with my OMAD 🍪 Not because I

🎶 Song is Unshakeable by Street Gospel Syndicate 🙌🏽🙏🏽🔥 OMAD has been such a blessing in my 🙋🏻‍♀️ mindful eating journey. I’ve gone from being an eliminator… and before that, trying every diet you can think of. Atkins. Carnivore. Vegan. Vegetarian. I tried eliminating foods. I tried shots and

On this day we were cleaning and preparing to turn in an apartment, didn’t have time to sit at a restaurant, didn’t plan food and I was hungry. So, I ate what was available… cheese, KFC, on the go, and a dessert with a glass of milk when I got home. OMAD because it was all within about under 2 hour

This was our Sunday meal, and we went out to a restaurant. We didn’t order dessert there. Instead, we stopped at the store and ate dessert when we got home 🍰 There was about 30–45 minutes between the meal and dessert. Some might call that two meals. I consider it one meal, within about a 1–2 hou

We’re on the go right now, which means I’ve had to adapt. And yes… I’m having a sweet treat 🍰 Yes, I did want it. But I’m also staying on guard. I’m being mindful not to binge—and I’m determined not to. I didn’t get here overnight. This took time ⏳ It took spending a lot of time with the

I ate out and overindulged because life is unsettled right now. We’re in the middle of moving, not in our own home, and routines aren’t what they normally are. But the win is that in the past, I would’ve come home and continued binging on whatever else was around simply because food was availabl

For years, food was my 🙋🏻‍♀️ comfort, my escape, my reward. When stress hit, emotions rose, or life felt heavy—I ate. 🍽️ Not because I was hungry… but because I was trying to fill something deeper. Mindful eating from a biblical lens changed everything. Not overnight. Not through restricti

When OMAD was a fast, my meals were smaller, and more controlled. That fit the season I was in… focused, prayerful, and intentional with restraint. As a lifestyle, my meals are larger and my food choices are broader, but the OMAD structure is still there. I ate enough protein, included fats, enj

A fast often has a set structure, timing around the meal and purposeful petitioning when it’s done with prayer. OMAD as a lifestyle still feels structured and intentional, but it isn’t rigid. Last few days I’ve been eating earlier because I’m listening to my hunger cues which is one of the b

I was honestly so scared to try OMAD. I couldn’t believe some people could just eat once a day. I put it off for a long time, until I couldn’t anymore. When we were encouraged to fast corporately with our church in January, I prayed about how to fast. We had just come out of a 21-day December fa

A moderator? That’s something I never thought would be true for me. 🙋🏻‍♀️ For years, hyper-palatable foods controlled me. Eliminating them felt safer than moderation because every attempt to “just have some” ended in bingeing… that included any carbs! I did eliminate them for a time though!

I listened to hunger — not the clock. Whereas if I were fasting, I would have waited until the time I had dedicated to eat and not eaten before that. I enjoyed my food with an extra burger patty and chocolate treats with my coffee ☕️🍫and then I stopped. I had no guilt. I did not spiral.

✨ I don’t have to think ahead about food. I figure out what I’m going to eat the same day, and sometimes in that moment, based on what is available! Don’t get me wrong. It’s nice to plan to have staples, and preferably single ingredient meals but this is not it because I’m not in my own home. W
