The Truth About Weight Loss…
No one really talks about the truth about weight loss. Not the glossy version. Not the picture perfect version. The real version that so many of us experience quietly.
It took me a full year to lose forty six pounds. A whole year of small choices, hard days, resets, and staying committed even when the progress felt invisible. I see the scale moving but when I look in the mirror it is only slightly noticeable. It is wild how you can work so hard for so long and still feel like the world cannot tell.
It was not glamorous either. I literally lost my gallbladder in the process. That part is not talked about in the weight loss conversations. Your body goes through actual changes. Real stress. Real exhaustion. Real healing. There is a cost for everything and sometimes that cost is heavier than the pounds you lose.
And I slip sometimes. I am not perfect. I am not a machine. Some days the discipline is there and some days it is not. But slipping does not erase progress. Slipping does not erase the year of effort. Slipping does not mean I failed. It just means I am human.
The truth is that weight loss is hard. The truth is that slow progress is still progress. The truth is that you can give everything you have and it may only show a little on the outside but it changes everything on the inside. I am stronger. I am more aware of my own resilience. I am learning to be kinder to myself through the process.
If you are on this journey too you are not alone. Real progress takes time. Real results take patience. And real transformation takes honesty with yourself. Celebrate every small win because they are the ones that build the story.
You deserve to feel proud of how far you have come even if the world cannot see it yet. Your journey counts. Your effort counts. And you count.
