Books have always been one of my many escapes. Using my imagination to create and mold characters. Traveling through timelines and stories and falling in love. Forming distain for characters I’ve never meet. Meeting strangers who seem too familiarly close to people I know. Every spine my hands has straddled and every page turned into an intricate experience.
Books have a way of making you apart of the story. Like a partner seductively enticing you into the bedroom. Pulling at you, teasing you to open them up and flirt with the pages.
I’m getting back into reading after years of just collecting books, reading synopsis, and watching book reviews. I love anything written by black authors.
