Irresistible Cheesy Parmesan Mozzarella Bites
Ingredients :
- 1 pound mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten
- 12 small pieces of puff pastry, thawed
Directions :
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, olive oil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly distributed.
3. Roll out each thawed piece of puff pastry slightly to make it a bit wider.
4. Place approximately 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture onto the center of each puff pastry piece.
5. Fold the puff pastry over the cheese mixture to form a half-moon shape, crimping the edges to seal.
6. Brush the tops of the bites with the beaten egg.
7. Place the bites onto the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
9. Let cool slightly before serving.
