Aromatherapy with mint has also played a role in calming my nerves and mild anxiety, especially during busy workdays. It’s crucial to remember, however, that while mint has multiple health benefits, it’s not a substitute for professional medical treatment, especially for chronic conditions involving inflammation or edema. Mint may interact with some medications — such as those for acid reflux, diabetes, or blood pressure — so consulting a healthcare provider before regular use is always a wise step.
