Please don’t talk to me about missing the strokes
Attending Coachella is always a whirlwind of emotions and activities, especially when you’re eager to catch a band like The Strokes. From my experience on Day 2 of the festival, missing the opportunity to see a favorite act up close can be surprisingly impactful. It’s not just about the music itself but the collective energy shared by fans in those moments. I found that despite the disappointment of nearly missing The Strokes, there’s a unique beauty in soaking in the festival atmosphere—the camaraderie among attendees, the vibe of the crowd, and the anticipation of each set create memories that linger long after. It made me appreciate the spontaneous nature of live music festivals and the importance of being flexible with plans and timing. In addition to missing parts of the performance, I realized how Coachella captures a mix of excitement and relatability. People around you share the same joy and sometimes the same frustrations, which somehow bonds the crowd closer. Reflecting on this, I learned not to dwell too much on what I missed but instead to focus on enjoying the entirety of the experience. If you’re planning to attend such festivals, I suggest arriving early for sets you don’t want to miss, but also allowing room for discovering new artists and embracing unexpected moments. Every festival day holds surprises, and sometimes, those moments, even missed ones, become a part of your unique story at events like Coachella.
