Body transformation challenge! WEEK 1🌸

Hey y’all!! Have you entered the body transformation challenge? I was hesitant but decided to jump into it. I’m going on vacation in June so this challenge couldn’t have been timed better.

My mail goals are to fix my posture, eat healthier, prioritize movement, tone up a bit, and to overall have more energy in my day to day life!

How I plan to do that is by tracking my food, mood, and movement with Noom while using their courses to help me heal my relationship with food, and I’m going to make time to exercise, stretch, and de-stress with deep breathing and self care. My posture is also… crazy. It’s not good 😂 but I’m gonna try to fix that, and I hope this challenge will keep me motivated.

When I first started, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from these. I knew Noom emphasized psychology, but how would that translate into daily learning within the app? Well, let me tell you, the lessons are surprisingly engaging and bite-sized, making them easy to fit into a busy schedule. Each day, the Noom app presents a series of short articles, usually taking about 5-10 minutes to read through. They're not just dry facts; they're packed with practical tips, scientific insights explained simply, and often a little quiz at the end to reinforce what you've learned. It feels less like a strict diet program and more like a daily coaching session for your brain, which is exactly what I needed to heal my relationship with food. For instance, this past week, I had lessons titled 'Set the stage with sleep, part 1' and 'part 2.' Before Noom, I honestly hadn't connected sleep that directly to my eating habits and energy levels. But these lessons really broke down the science behind how sleep deprivation can increase hunger hormones and decrease motivation. It was an 'aha!' moment for me, realizing that fixing my posture and having more energy isn't just about what I eat or how much I move, but also about getting quality rest. This insight alone has made me prioritize my sleep routine, and I'm already feeling more alert during the day! The beauty of these Noom daily lessons is that they cover a huge range of topics beyond just calories. They tackle emotional eating, understanding hunger and fullness cues, cognitive distortions around food, stress management, and even how to build sustainable exercise habits. They've been instrumental in helping me reframe my relationship with food from a place of restriction to one of mindful choices. Instead of feeling guilty about my food choices, I'm learning why I make certain decisions and how to gently guide myself towards healthier ones without feeling deprived. It’s all about developing a healthier mindset. What I love about using the Noom app for these daily lessons is how seamlessly everything integrates. After reading a lesson, I can immediately apply a new strategy, track my food, log my mood, and record my activity all in one place. It creates a holistic picture of my health journey. The app's interface for the lessons is super user-friendly, making it simple to navigate through the day's content. It’s like having a little coach in my pocket, reminding me of my goals and giving me actionable steps every single day to tackle things like better posture through mindful movement and boosting my overall energy.
