As the week winds down, many of us feel worn, stretched thin, or running on empty. But, God never intended for us to live fortified by our own strength. True fortification doesn’t come from pushing harder… it comes from leaning deeper into Him!

Just as bread strengthens the body, God’s Word strengthens the soul. When we sit at His table, breaking open His Word, He fortifies us with peace, courage, wisdom, and unwavering hope. He renews what’s been depleted and strengthens what’s been shaken.

On this Fortified Friday, remember this…

🤍 You are not held together by your own effort.

🤍 You are sustained by the Lord Himself.

🤍 Whatever today brings, step forward knowing you are fortified… not by fear, but by faith.

Lord, thank You for being my strength when I feel weak. Fortify my heart, my mind, and my spirit with Your truth today. Help me to rely fully on You and walk in the power You provide. Amen!

Whether it’s reading a devotional, meditating on a specific verse, or simply pausing for a prayer, these moments create resilience. They remind me that I am sustained by the Lord Himself—not by my own efforts—and that every challenge is an opportunity to walk forward in faith rather than fear. I encourage anyone feeling worn out to try creating a little routine of 'breaking bread' spiritually each day. It’s a simple but powerful way to let God renew what’s depleted and strengthen what feels shaken. And like the encouragement from Fortified Friday, remember: it’s okay to lean on Him fully; His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
