... Read moreBecoming a mother is an incredibly personal and transformative journey, and one thing I've learned is that no one needs to remind you how to be a mom once you hold your baby for the first time. The moment they lay your baby on your chest, a deep and immediate connection forms — it's like an instinct switch flips on. This experience leaves me feeling empowered, reminding me that the knowledge and love I have for my child are innate. In today's world, there's a lot of unsolicited advice and opinions about parenting, which can sometimes feel overwhelming or judgmental. However, I've found that tuning out the noise and trusting my own instincts is essential in becoming the parent my child needs. It's okay to ignore critics and redefine what being a good mom means for your unique situation. Sharing moments with communities like #momtoks or hashtags like #mybaby has helped me realize many other moms feel the same way — empowered by their natural maternal instincts and confident in their parenting decisions without needing external validation. Embracing motherhood with confidence not only improves your mental health but also creates a positive environment for your baby to thrive. If you're navigating the early days of motherhood, trust yourself. Not once since my baby was placed on my chest has anyone needed to remind me to be a mom. That affirmation has been my anchor, helping me to parent with authenticity and peace of mind.
