Cupcake Girl Here-More Frosting Recipes in profile
I just want to tell you I really do love cupcakes with the frosting, it’s actually a problem for me cause I can really eat a lot of cupcakes. Like even Hostess makes a good cupcake. Right now I’m in love with the Walmart bouquet cupcakes that they make. Their butter cream was so freaking good!
Well who agrees with me that cupcakes are such a comfort food that we need.
Let me know about your cupcake cravings in the comments.
I also want to say that these are not my recipes I just take pictures of these recipes to use when I make cupcakes so I thought I would post them. Thx so much to all of you who, liked, saved and followed me - honestly this is the first time I’ve had such a big response for anything that I have posted here. Now I’ve decided to pull out my really old recipe books that I bought from a garage sale to show u the recipes from 1949. So stay tuned for that. Thx

As an avid cupcake fan, I've found that the frosting truly makes or breaks the experience. Over time, I’ve experimented with various buttercream recipes, and I always aim for that perfect balance of sweetness and flavor intensity. The cream cheese buttercream, for instance, adds a delightful tang and smooth texture, which pairs wonderfully with classic vanilla or red velvet cupcakes. For fruit lovers, the strawberry buttercream offers a fresh, natural strawberry flavor that brightens each bite. Chocolate buttercream is a timeless favorite. Using unsweetened cocoa powder combined with just the right amount of sugar creates a deep, rich taste that never disappoints. If you prefer something citrusy and light, the lemon buttercream—with fresh lemon juice and zest—adds an invigorating twist that's perfect for spring or summer treats. Coconut buttercream brings a tropical flair with its fragrant coconut extract and creamy consistency. Peanut butter buttercream is another great option, especially for those who love a nutty, savory contrast to the sweetness. Adding a bit of salt in these recipes really enhances the flavors, creating a more complex and satisfying frosting. From personal experience, using real butter and fresh ingredients makes a remarkable difference in taste and texture compared to store-bought frostings. Also, adjusting the consistency by adding milk or cream helps achieve that perfect spreadable yet stable frosting, ideal for decorating cupcakes beautifully. I often refer back to vintage recipes I’ve collected, as many offer simple ingredients yet yield wonderfully nostalgic flavors. Frosting isn't just about taste—it's an opportunity to get creative with colors and decorations. Using natural extracts like coconut or lemon can add flavor without artificial colors, keeping your cupcakes wholesome. I love engaging with other cupcake enthusiasts and hearing their favorite frosting combos. Sharing recipes and tips not only inspires new creations but also builds a warm community of comfort-food lovers. Let me know your favorite frosting recipes or cupcake cravings—I’d be thrilled to try and share new ideas!
