Get ready with me…let’s see if this makeup actually eats
What makeup look I should do next?
When I filmed this Get Ready With Me session, I wanted to genuinely test if the makeup look I was trying would hold up and really 'eat' — in other words, if it would look flawless, fresh, and picture-perfect throughout the day. For me, soft glam makeup is all about creating a natural yet polished finish that enhances your features without feeling heavy or overdone. I started with a lightweight foundation that blends seamlessly into the skin, combined with a subtle contour and highlight to define my face softly. One important tip I’ve learned over time is to use a damp beauty sponge to apply foundation and concealer — this technique helps avoid cakiness and gives a skin-like glow. For eyes, I chose neutral matte shades with just a hint of shimmer on the lids, paired with soft eyeliner to open up the eyes without harsh lines. Mascara was a must for that extra dimension without the drama of false lashes. When selecting lip colors, I typically go for nude or rose tones that complement the overall soft glam vibe but still add a bit of color and life. Throughout the wear, I noticed the makeup stayed pretty intact with minimal touch-ups, which is crucial for me because I want my look to last from day to night without constant reapplication. The products I used were lightweight but highly pigmented, allowing me to build coverage where needed. Setting my makeup with a gentle mist helped lock everything in place and maintain a dewy finish. If you’re experimenting with new makeup looks like I did, my advice is to embrace your personal style and adjust products and techniques to suit your skin type and preferences. Sharing these moments and being honest about what works helps build confidence and inspires others to try new things safely. I’m excited to try more looks soon, so keep the suggestions coming!
