... Read moreSometimes, the hardest part of realizing a truth is accepting it when it comes from someone else, especially if that person is unexpected or not taken seriously. I’ve noticed this a lot in my own life and among friends—someone points out a fact, a perspective, or a warning, and it takes a while before it really sinks in. This delay often happens because of our own biases or pride, or simply because we weren’t prepared to hear it from that source. I remember instances where a friend or a casual acquaintance said something that initially felt dismissive or harsh, but eventually proved to be spot on. It reminded me that the truth isn't about who delivers it, but about what is being said. The frustration builds when you watch someone slowly come around to what was clear from the start, yet they only acknowledge it when it’s pointed out by a particular person—even if that person was initially overlooked. This experience also taught me the importance of patience and communication. Instead of insisting people understand right away, it helps to give space for them to process their feelings and thoughts. Sometimes, hearing it from someone else acts as a confirmation or a new lens to view the situation more objectively. Understanding the reasons behind this delay deepened my empathy and helped me communicate more effectively. Ultimately, it’s about recognizing that everyone’s journey to realization is different, even if the truth remains the same.

Why I picked my Major
I decided my second semester of senior year that I was going to go to college. I hated the idea of more school, but knew I wanted to do more with myself than just work in a factory. My advisor suggested Supply Chain Management because the student who had previously majored in it had great success.
