Healing isn’t linear…
I am married to the most wonderful and supportive man I know. We have two beautiful children. We have the cutest little house, cars and good jobs.
But I am still so sad. I don’t know what my purpose is.
But I’m learning, and healing isn’t linear ❤️🩹 there are ups and downs, steps forward and steps backward, smiles and tears, but we keep going because we are strong people❤️🩹
Healing is often depicted as a straightforward process; however, many individuals find that their experiences are marked by unexpected twists and turns. This article reflects the reality that healing isn't always linear. Each person's journey is unique, influenced by various factors such as mental health, personal experiences, and support systems. In this context, it's essential to acknowledge that sadness and uncertainty are valid emotions and that seeking purpose can be a part of the healing process. Understanding that emotions fluctuate can help alleviate feelings of inadequacy or frustration when setbacks occur. Some may find comfort and strength in connecting with supportive communities or engaging in self-care practices, which can promote mental well-being. Moreover, maintaining a growth mindset can be beneficial. Recognizing small progressions, such as coping strategies implemented or moments of joy experienced, reinforces resilience. As you navigate your healing journey, remember that it’s okay to lean on loved ones and seek professional help when needed, as having a support network can significantly impact your healing experience.
