HOW I MAINTAIN A SUMMER BODY

full disclosure all bodies are summer bodies and all bodies are gorgeous. this is just a personal version of my ideal body type 🫶🏼

for starters a frequent workout routine will help give your body more definition and some extra in the areas you want it 🍑😉

but you can’t achieve what you want through only working out. YES working out is a key part but only if you follow a good diet plan that works best for your body!!

for instance i have a very fast metabolism so it’s harder to gain muscle and weight. so for my diet i still allow myself to eat “junk food” in portion sized amounts, but i also follow a strict protein intake (70-100g)

you should typically ingest your body weight in protein. ex: i weigh about 100 pounds. so i consume 70-100 grams of protein. doing this i have noticed my muscle becoming more visible and have noticed myself gaining and maintaining that weight

YOU HAVE TO KEEP GOING. remember why you started this journey. imagine how proud you will become when you achieve your goals. i cannot fathom how much my old pictures shock me still!

and remember to have confidence in yourself. believe in yourself and what you are able to accomplish. know you are beautiful no matter what and you deserve to love yourself in any form.

I focus heavily on compound movements like squats, deadlifts, and hip thrusts to really target the glutes and legs. These aren't just for looking good; they build powerful muscle that boosts your metabolism too! I also make sure to include upper body days to get those strong back muscles and defined arms, like you might see in my mirror selfies. The key here is progressive overload: consistently trying to lift a little heavier, do one more rep, or improve your form. Don't be afraid of the weights, ladies – they're your best friend for sculpting and building that 'slim thick' look! Now, on to nutrition. You heard about my high protein intake, but how do I actually hit those 70-100g goals, especially with a fast metabolism? It's not just about chicken and shakes, though those are great! I try to include protein in every meal and snack. Think Greek yogurt, eggs, lean meats, lentils, and protein bars. But it's also crucial to remember that your body needs healthy carbs for energy (especially for those workouts!) and good fats for overall health. I make sure my meals are balanced with whole grains like oats or brown rice, plenty of colorful veggies, and sources of healthy fats like avocado or nuts. For someone with a fast metabolism like me, consistent fueling is super important. I often eat smaller, balanced meals throughout the day to keep my energy levels up and support muscle growth. And honestly, hydration is key – sometimes I confuse thirst with hunger, so a big glass of water often helps me stay on track! Staying motivated and consistent is probably the hardest part, right? Believe me, I have days where I just don't want to go to the gym. But I always remind myself of why I started. For me, it's not about a number on the scale or fitting into a specific dress size, but about how strong and empowered I *feel*. Tracking my progress, whether it's lifting heavier or just noticing my clothes fit better, keeps me going. Taking those mirror selfies (like the ones you see!) and seeing my 'muscle definition' slowly improve is a huge motivator. And remember that confidence I talked about? It grows with every single workout you push through, every healthy meal you choose. It's a journey, not a destination, so celebrate every small victory. Embrace the process, listen to your body, and know that building a 'healthy ass' or a 'summer body' is truly about building a stronger, happier you, inside and out. You've got this!
