Have you survived

... Read moreSurviving deep emotional pain is a unique journey for each individual. I remember a time when I felt overwhelmed by the sheer intensity of my feelings, much like the sentiment expressed in Dostoevsky's quote. Feeling everything intensely can be both a gift and a burden. On one hand, it allows us to connect deeply with others and the world around us; on the other, it can sometimes feel like a punishment, as the weight of these emotions becomes hard to bear. One strategy I found helpful was learning to recognize and accept my emotions without judgment. Rather than pushing them away, I tried to sit with the discomfort and understand its source. This practice not only helped me build resilience but also enabled me to grow stronger and more self-aware. Building a supportive network of friends and mentors also made a significant difference. Sharing my feelings aloud and knowing I wasn't alone in my struggles provided comfort and perspective. Creative outlets such as journaling, art, or music became vital ways to process complex emotions. Incorporating mindfulness and meditation into my daily routine further enhanced my ability to cope with emotional intensity. These practices grounded me, creating space between my feelings and reactions, which allowed me to respond with greater calm and clarity. Ultimately, surviving the deep emotional experiences described in the quote is a testament to human resilience. It reminds us that feeling deeply is not a weakness but a profound part of what makes us human, offering opportunities for empathy, growth, and connection.

How I survived nursing school
I went into nursing school expecting it to be hard but nursing school is a whole other level. Be teachable. You may be smart but everyone in there got in because their academics matched yours. Even if you’ve been a cna, even if you’ve worked in health care, even if you have made it half way through
