Do you decorate Christmas Cookies?🍪
Here’s the Recipe⬇️
🧈Ingredients & Supplies:
- 1 cup of softened butter
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- Splash of vanilla extract (optional)
- Wax Paper
- Rolling Pin, or a heavy cup to roll out dough!
(((Homemade icing)))
- powdered sugar, milk, & food coloring
👩🏽🍳Instructions:
- Cream butter until it looks like whip cream
- Slowly add sugar, beating well
- Add flour gradually, blending well
- Wrap dough in wax paper, chill in fridge
- Remove dough from fridge and let sit for 30 ish minutes!
- Knead slightly on a floured surface
- Roll out sections of dough with rolling pin and cut to desired shapes
- Bake 350° ungreased 10-12 minutes
Icing: mix small amounts of mik into bowl of powdered sugar until a smooth but not runny consistency, add coloring, ice on cookies and sprinkle right away. Icing will dry fast!

OKAY! These cookies keep their shape SO well, and is the best recipe for pretty cookies and deliciousness. It’s super easy for kids to decorate with them since their shape is consistent through the baking process!
I personally love the store bought pillsbury icing (it’s nostalgic for me!) but if you want to make your own icing then I put those instructions too. Happy baking!
