Leg day!✨🤍
Day 22 of Gymshark 66. The gym was the last place I wanted to be on this day, currently on my period, smashed with school work and work. I am tired, but I’m learning not to mix up my mental fatigue with my physical one. As much as going to the gym is tiring and exhausting, it helps me, especially mentally. So I put my workout clothes on, and took my butt to the gym. I learned a new workout (lunges) or at least I attempted to. My form is far from okay, but I’ll get there. As much as this challenge keeps me accountable, I also need to learn how to listen to my body. I hope you have a great week!🩷 #bodytransformation #vanessamacarthy #Lemon8Diary #legdayworkout
Leg day workouts are crucial for building lower body strength and endurance. Incorporating exercises like squats, lunges, and deadlifts not only improves muscle tone but also boosts overall athletic performance. It’s essential to prioritize form over intensity, particularly when learning new exercises. Remember, it’s common to feel challenged physically and mentally, especially during your menstrual cycle. Taking time to rest and recover is vital. Additionally, combining leg workouts with proper nutrition can optimize results. Hydration and protein intake play significant roles in muscle recovery post-workout. For those new to leg training, consider starting with bodyweight exercises before progressing to weights. Engaging in community fitness challenges like Gymshark 66 can provide accountability and support, driving better results as you share and connect with others. Celebrate every small victory in your fitness journey!
